Authentic Living : Case Studies

Tom, 34, UK. Despite being very successful and well rewarded in his executive career, Tom arrived to coaching feeling as though life could give him more. In the first few months of the process we discovered Tom’s desire to move into a career that had more focus on people than profit. He wanted to work in an environment that shared his values, where he could truly express himself and connect with people.

Tom realised that he wanted to train as a psychotherapist and right away identified, and was successfully accepted on, a part time training course. Seeing as this would take around 5 years to complete, we also found him a new job, one which paid more than the last, was closer to home and matched his values more closely. A fulfilled future planned and a brilliant present created.

Susan, 42, Ireland. Having been recently divorced, Susan was looking for her own life back. She had a very successful career in a local company but felt that the attention she was giving he role left nothing for herself. Seeing no way to change the situation she came for coaching.

We quickly identified that all Susan’s energy had been invested in work and she had been unable to see that it was possible for her to go part time and still live comfortably. Together we created a strategy for approaching her employer with a plan of action that allowed her to free up one day a week which she could use for exploring her creative talents. 8 months on she is working part time with kids in an art project, feeling fulfilled and inspired by herself.
